Once there was a snowman small, small, small...

I haven't bee feeling great this week and I promised Taylee that when I felt better we could go out and build a snowman... little did I know that Idaho has awful snow for building a snowman! It just falls apart and wouldn't stay together until I brought out a pitcher of water to make ice balls and this is as good as I could get...

Taylee's comment, "uh he's small..."

I never thought I would miss Washington snow full of leaves and dirt, but at least when you roll a snowball there you can count on it getting bigger...
We did have fun playing in the snow though and Taylee keeps wishing her snowman could talk... I just tell her we don't have the "magic hat" -I just love this girl!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a good Thanksgiving this year. For the first time in five years, we traveled to Washington for Thanksgiving. It worked out well that Taylee's check-up, Uncle Andy's homecoming from his mission, Uncle Sam's farewell and Thanksgiving could all happen in the same week.

We started out at Grandma Sillito's... it was nice to spend a few days with grama and grampa all to ourselves. Here is Taylee and grama making turkeys.
Taylee had her check-up the day before Thanksgiving and everything went well. No new news which is good news!

While we were home, we also got to celebrate Lily's birthday party. She is turning four in December, but with so many cousins around they decided to celebrate early.
Lily, Jacey and Taylee at the Children's museum in Olympia... what a cool place!

It took forever to convince Tay and Ellie to leave the kitchen/store/house part of the museum and check out what else they had... they LOVED it!

Taylee and Lily playing at the water table...

The cutest birthday girl ever....

Later that week we went and stayed in Maple Valley to be closer to all the Alldredge festivities...
(Thank you Danny and Makay for letting us stay... we had such a good time!)

It has been a while since all 7 Alldredge brother's were together. They sang the musical number at Andy and Sam's homecoming/farewell. It is pretty powerful to see all of them together knowing they all served or are about to serve missions... so cool!

Sam really belting it out....! :)

Cute cousins... Ammon, Addi and Taylee

Isaac and Bonnie

We waited to have Thanksgiving until Sunday when all the family and friends were around. I think they were expecting like 50 people for dinner. We had it at the Anderson's Barn and there was lots of room to play. Taylee and Addi playing the piano...

And of course when all of the family is actually together, we must have family pictures.
This is all the Alldredge girls...

All the Alldredge boys.... (we are getting totally out numbered)
There are more, but didn't get taken with my camera or didn't turn out well. Good thing I wasn't the main photographer...

And of course when we got home there was snow... we had great roads, but all the next day it snowed and snowed.

I must add too that our newest Sillito baby came while we were home too. Dan and Jenni had little Sadie on Thanksgiving and it was so nice to meet her!

Halloween 09

Halloween this year was jam-packed, but still so fun. I started the day going to a baptism for a little girl in our ward, well it was our Primary's turn to be in charge, but I was so glad I got to go and remember how special and sacred baptism is and it was a really good thing for me. Anyway, not much later we had to head to the church to set up for the ward Halloween Party. Aaron and the Teacher's quorum were in charge of a game and I was supposed to help with food and whatever else needed help. We were there till about 4 and then came home to get ready.

My cute ladybug again... I added a few bows to the headband and some black on her eyes and she looked oh so adorable, at least to me!!

Nate, Chelsea and Broden came to party with us... pretty cool pirates huh? and the cutest little monkey too!

Doing a little pumpkin bowling... its pretty easy when you walk right up and then throw the pumpkin...

Doing daddy's bean bag toss... you can't tell in the picture but the room was totally decked out. Aaron had the lights dimmed, creepy skeleton guys hanging from the ceiling, spooky music, cobwebs all over and the boys favorite part.... the candy box with a real hand in the bottom to freak everyone out who reached in to get candy. Another boy was hiding behind a curtain to try and scare kids while they were throwing their bean bags and then at the end they got to spin Aaron's famous spin-wheel back from his DISH selling fair days. He even gave out prizes. It was cool to see him have fun with that!

Aaron and Nate manning the trunk-or-treat while Chelsea and I took the kids around. Aaron says he and Nate would make kids say trick-or-treat and if they did it really loud they got two pieces of candy.... they also tried to get kids to do something relating to their costume. They tried to get Michael Jackson to bust a move, but he wouldn't do it, but they did get Mario to sing and dance to his theme song and a crazy witch to cast a spell... they had a good time :)

Checking out all the candy... some of our neighbor boys came over later cause their mom said they had too much candy and had to give it away so Aaron decided to trade our nasty stuff for good chocolate candy instead. We gaave them way more then we took so they thought it was a pretty good trade... and so did we!

Taylee on her sugar high... Happy Halloween everyone!

Dressing up

Every Wednesday we go to this music preschool type thing which Taylee loves. When we are there you can't always tell she loves it, but at home during the week she sings all the songs and asks when it is time for her, "special Taylee day". Today they got to wear their costumes and Taylee was so pumped. Isn't she the cutest ladybug you ever saw? I think so!

She kept saying, "mom, I am happy today" and I could tell cause she actually wanted to participate in the activities and she wasn't totally attactched to my hip!

This is the puppet song they do... so fun!

Marching time... Taylee always chooses the triangle...

This is only like half the kids that usually come, I think lots of kids are sick, but it was a fun day and it was so fun to see Taylee so happy, enjoying herself, participating, and playing with other kids! I was so proud of her today!

Pumpkin Carving with the Cousins

Last Saturday my sisters and I got together, like we have the past few years, and had the kids carve their pumpkins. Here they are with their giant pumpkins waiting to get into them... (oh and Taylee is in that cheesy smile stage as you will notice...)

Our neighbors grow pretty good pumpkins so we drive over and they have a wagon full and the prices are marked on the bottom and they are a way better deal than any store around here so Taylee picked out a few. She said she needed one with a mad face and one with a happy face...

the mad face...

the happy face...

Gutting the pumpkin... no bare hands, definatly a spoon!

Tiffany has this pirate costume that one of her boys wore a few years back and almost every time we are over Tay has to put it on. If it were up to her I know she would choose the pirate over the ladybug, but while I still have some say, the ladybug wins... She is saying, "ARGHHH!"

The mad face pumpkin with ONE tooth!

The big girls eating cookies and cocoa...

The gang just keeps growing, we are going to be so sad when half of them leave us :( Thanks Tiff that was fun!

The Kitchen Sink!

My family will all be pleased to know that we finally replaced our kitchen sink...

For the longest time the faucet on our old sink was broken. Not completely broken, we could still use it, but water poured out from the base and it took a special touch to turn it off. We are a little slow to get projects completed around here, but Monday it really broke. I went and got the stuff and Aaron, my "handy-man" got it all hooked up for me. (With only a little help from Micah).

I LOVE IT! Why the heck did we wait so long?!?!? Just thought I'd share the good news...

Whose got Halloween Spirit?!?

We are trying to get into the Halloween mood around here... I have decorated, but all of the sudden I realized Halloween was next week-end. Last year our carved pumpkins were already rotting by now and this year I haven't even bought any pumpkins yet. We are getting with it though. Two Mondays ago we started that neighborhood "Boo" thing and this last Monday we did our Haunted Halloween House and good thing we still have time for carving pumpkins. It is fun to watch Taylee get into the spirit of the holidays. She gets it now and it is so fun to share all the fun traditions my mom did with me as a little girl with her and start some new ones of our own. If I hadn't already bought her Halloween costume she would still be undecided... bee, witch, tootsie roll, spider man, cowboy, puppy... the list goes on, but I was shopping with my mom and sister and found the cutest ladybug costume! She wasn't too thrilled but I think she's coming around: )

Can hardly wait to open that candy....

Aaron puts one on.... Taylee takes 4 off!!

I told them when it is up to me or when Taylee cares, we will actully try to make it look pretty and maybe even like one on the box, but for now this is what we get!

Five Years!

This last week-end Aaron and I got to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. It was actually back on the 14th of Aug., but we were camping with family and didn't get a chance to do anything. Aaron was out of town all last week so we decided that when he got back we would head to Park City to play a little. We left Friday afternoon and drove to Salt Lake.

We did some shopping and walked around Temple Square... it was beautiful as always.

That night we went to a restaurant recommended to us by Spencer and we both loved it. It was different then any restaurant we had been to before because you went and got all the sides you wanted at a buffet type thing (but nicer) and then the waiters came around with all types of meat that you could have and they just carved it off for you... as you can see in the pic. So yummy, it just needed more potatoes, I'm a meat and potatoes kind of girl...

Then the next day we went to try out the Alpine slide. You can see it in the pic above in the background. We both LOVED it!

There was a zip line too, but wasn't as thrilling as we thought it would be, but still fun...

Getting ready to beat Aaron down the slide...

Aaron getting ready to cheat!!! He gave himself a huge push-off and totally beat me to the bottom!

Going on the roller coaster! It was so fun especially because it was so unique. You get towed up the mountain on this rickity looking track and then gravity does the rest. You have the ability to slow down if you want, but we just coasted all they way...
That evening we walked through Park City and found somewhere to eat. Then we went swimming and came home the next morning in time for me to give a talk... It was a fun week-end and so nice to be able to celebrate with my man. Love you babe!

Camping with the Alldredge's

I finally got my camera back so I am posting some fun pics from our trip to Wa. Before we headed out camping we got to spend a few days at Danny and Makay's and it was so fun for Taylee and Addi to play together. Tay misses Addi, she wanted to know why Addi wasn't at her birthday party and asks if we can go to Addi's house often. Their dog Tink may have something to do with it (Taylee loves dogs) since she did rename her puppy after her, but it was fun staying there. Thanks again you guys!

Playing dress up...

Sleepin...
While we were camping we went into Pateros for a picnic and to play on the toys by the river. Then we went and got some ice cream.
